ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયન મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ અનુસાર, શનિવારે રાત્રે ટાઉન્સવિલેથી લગભગ 50 કિલોમીટર દૂર સાયમન્ડ્સની કાર અકસ્માતનો ભોગ બની હતી. સાયમન્ડ્સને ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયન ક્રિકેટના મહાન ખેલાડીઓમાંથી એક ગણવામાં આવે છે. સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર દરેક ક્રિકેટર તેમના નિધન પર તેમને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપી રહ્યા છે.
